EACGS TAKES THEATRIC PRODUCTION “HAIRSPRAY” TO SEA

Enhance a Colour worked with River City Scenic and Gerry Hariton to create the backdrops for the show ‘Hairspray’, produced on the world’s largest cruise ship “Oasis of the Seas” owned by Royal Caribbean. Gerry wanted bright, vivid and colorful fabric backdrops. They needed them to be 13 feet tall to wrap around the wooden flats. River Scenic had tried solvent and uv ink printed fabrics but none could achieve the desired color that the designers wanted. So they decided to use Enhance a Colour’s proprietary 16 foot seamless, by any length, dye-sublimated fabric printing process. Dye-sub printing produces brighter colors and a larger color gamut. An added bonus is that the ink will not crack and the material can be washed and ironed if needed, without the color fastness will being affected. Solvent and UV inks just can’t do those type of things.

Z100 CHRISTMAS JINGLE BALL BACKDROPS

Atomic Design asked Enhance a Colour to produce two backdrops for the Z100 Christmas Jingle Ball Event. The visual we created was 48 feet wide by 10 feet high. We printed onto back lit material, but in 3 pass mode. Atomic Design wanted certain areas to shine like the Z100 logos and snow flakes but we wanted other areas to be opaque so that light did not come through. The process was spot 4C, 4C+ white spot and 4C spot on top. It took 3 passes and 5 hours per backdrop. Also certain areas like the snowflkes shined through when backlit but then went black when not backlit. They were printed in the second layer and covered in black on the last layer. With the ability to do this, they were able to use different color LEDS to shine lights in certain areas without them spreading into other areas, due to our ability to opaque areas with day night day. We did two back drops because the stage swiveled.

WE MAKE UGLY LOOK GOOD

Enhance a Colour was asked to take a nine year old van, that picked up clients and employees at the Stamford, CT train station, and change it from an UGLY VEHICLE into a beautiful custom wrapped van. Working with the Conair marketing staff, we created a layout and then converted and printed the layout to 3M® vinyl adhesive with a matching 3M® lamination. Our in house installation team installed the graphics. This is the second vehicle that we have done for Conair.
