The New York Historical Society, the city’s oldest museum, has added a new exhibit named “Revolution! The Atlantic World Reborn”. “Revolution!” focuses on the politics and culture from 1763 to 1815 in America, France and Haiti. This is the first time the story of the 18th-century Atlantic revolutions’ and their connection will be explained. “Revolution!” is a traveling exhibit, it will be in the New York Historical Society until April 15, 2012 and then move onto another museum to be announced.
Layman Design, the lead designer for the project worked with RH Guest, the exhibit builder, both of which design exhibits for museums and non-profit institutions throughout the country. Enhance a Colour working directly with RH Guest had the very large task of producing over 400 pieces to create the permanent yet mobile “Revolution!” exhibit. The applications used included: dye-sublimated fabric and carpet printing, direct printing to rigid substrates such as Sintra and Plexiglas, contour-cut dimensional pieces and digitally printed timelines as wall graphics. Enhance a Colour also provided installation services.
Striving to meet a museum designers deadline and exceeding their expectations by being a complete source for all of their printing and graphic needs is what drives our success.
