    Lime Rock Park

Lime Rock Park, a historic road racing track located in beautiful northwestern Connecticut, was built in 1957 and is the first track designed using scientific principals. This venue hosts many races during the season including the Nascar Whelan Modified Tour and the Grand-Am Rolex Series Memorial Day Classic. Enhance a Colour has been working with Lime Rock Park producing and installing billboards and banners throughout the park.

The Lime Rock Drivers Club requested 2 banners be printed and installed on either side of the pedestrian bridge over the track. Each banner measured an incredible 100 feet wide by 6 feet high, directly printed onto vinyl banner material as one continuous piece on our large format printer.

For the Grand-Am Rolex Series Memorial Day Classic, EACGS had printed three billboards for BMW. One massive billboard measured 48 feet wide by 18 feet high and four billboards measuring 24 feet wide by 12 feet high, printed seamless onto 13 oz. vinyl banner material. Two additional billboards were produced that measured 100 feet wide by 6 feet high and another was 30 feet wide by 6 feet high.

For the Nascar Whelan Modified Tour sponsored by Town Fair Tire, Enhance a Colour had the opportunity to produce signage for the event . Two billboards, measuring 20 feet wide by 4 feet high, promoting the event and it’s sponsors were printed onto 13 oz. vinyl banner material and installed by our Enhance a Colour installation crew.

  • Enhance a Colour was asked by SPEVCO to create graphics for Coke Zero’s campaign for the 2011 NFL season. The task at hand was to create printed carpets of various sizes cut to shape and larger-than-life Coke Zero Cans.

There were 2 different designs and shapes used for the 5 carpets, all dye-sub printed to carpet material with rubberized backs. The largest carpet was 15 feet by 15 feet, two carpets measured 10 feet by 10 feet, and the last was 10 feet by 6 feet 3.5 inches.

Enhance a Colour also created two 8 foot tall Coke Zero Cans. The cans were UV flatbed printed to white Sintra material and die-cut to shape including condensation drops on the sides of the can.

This project represents Enhance a Colour’s capabilities to produce graphics of superior quality and finishing. Please contact us to help you make a lasting impact on your audience.

  • "Newsies" at the Papermill Playhouse, New Jersey

"Newsies" at the Papermill Playhouse, New Jersey

In August 2011, Enhance a Colour was called upon by Hudson Scenic to help with the imagery in the production of “Newsies” at the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey. The issue was to place an image directly on Twin Wall material that would create translucent and transparent pieces. With our flat bed printers, routers, and a “day-night-day” process, our creative staff and production team were able to achieve such an effect.

“Day-night-day” is a process in which we print a layer of 4-color, a layer of white, and then a second layer of 4-color. Translucency and backlight ability are accomplished to give your images quality visibility when not lit and  vibrant rather than washed-out color when backlit. In this case, the images were printed first surface using UV inks to make the prints durable. An interesting challenge our creative staff and production crew met was to make the Ground Row Back Layer and the Ground Row Front Layer line up identically with the Side Wall Panels which were an abnormal size of 5’W x 12’H.

For printed pieces to be transparent yet translucent enough to shine a light source through it, we spot-printed a double strike of 4-color UV inks to the Twin Wall materials. In areas where the producers wanted the light to truly come through, there was no ink printed at all. A light spray of ink was used in areas where they wanted the Twin Wall to shine, but be somewhat opaque. Examples of this spot-print double strike process to attain this unique look are found in the Jacobi Windows and the Front Ground Row.

In addition to printing the Twin Wall material, Enhance a Colour produced several other visuals. “The moon” was printed and finished using our 16ft dye-sublimated backlit artist fabric. We printed a number of other fabric panels to wrap flats. Lastly, for the main set we printed the image of a newspaper on our vinyl mesh/textilene so the light designer could shine images off of it.
