Staging Solutions, an event production company from Houston, Texas, contacted Enhance a Colour to create a trade show booth for Opus Dei that would be used in a 15 ft. x 15 ft. space but could also be broken down into 3 smaller, separate units. The segmented booth, initially built for the Philadelphia Catholic Trade show during Pope Francis’ visit this past summer, provides the flexibility to be used for large or small venues.

To allow for the ability to switch between a large 20 ft. x 20 ft. booth space or three smaller 10 ft. x 10 ft. booth spaces, EaC produced the display as three multifaceted light box walls, 8 ft. W x 8 ft. H x 1 ft. D. These walls can stand independently and may be used as single-sided or double-sided displays, while also having the ability to connect together to create one large trade show booth.

In addition, we also made custom traveling road cases for the display so each 8 ft. x 8 ft. wall can be shipped individually.

Production Challenges met with Enhance a Colour Solutions:

  • Custom connectors were shaped out of 1/4″ aluminum using our waterjet services to allow the three walls to connect.
  • Strong shadow boxes were created to hold the television units within the light boxes.
  • The graphics were produced on special printed backlit fabric in 4-Color Dye-sublimation, then sewn with an SEG silicone gasket. This material and printing technique yields the most vibrant images on a long-lasting graphic so the client can use the product over and over without issue.
  • The End Client desired a storage area with an access door for the booth when the walls are connected. EAC fabricated an easy-to-assemble unit with our custom hardware and graphics.
  • A dimensional ring above the three wall booth that can either sit on the three walls or hang independently above the booth draws attention to the booth. We produced the frame out of 1″ round aluminum and wrapped the circular frame with custom printed fabric.
