Imagine walking into a candy store with deep empty pockets and everything is free. That is exactly how I felt walking into the first day of my very first American Alliance of Museums Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

My lifelong admiration of museums and how exhibits are created amplified while walking through the aisles and seeing all the new technology and exhibition features. My days were filled with games on an interactive table, watching people dance on the interactive floor, eating a liquid nitrogen rootbeer float to touching a replica of the Rosetta Stone. I learned so much about things we take for granted, like the equipment it takes to print the tickets you receive when you pass through the entrance of a museum.

The absolute best part of my time at AAM, was speaking with visitors at Enhance a Colour’s display booth #8043. Many of my fellow exhibitors had become acquaintances through different social media outlets, and when I got to finally them meet face-to-face, acquaintances turned into old friends. It was my pleasure to introduce Enhance a Colour to those connections and to other museum professionals by showing them the great graphic opportunities we offer.

A fellow exhibitor told me that he used to think that working in this industry would make the magic go away. Now he sees the magic of museums exhibits in a whole new way, and it is even more interesting than ever. I could not agree more! So looking forward to seeing you at the next one!
