Portuguese marley flooring, commonly known as marley dance floor, was the perfect fit for a scene from the hit show, Pose—a three-season FX culture drama illuminating LGBTQ+ life, the ballroom scene, and the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. Not only is marley flexible and sound-absorbent, but clear marley (as shown) is printed second-surface, protecting the inks from heavy foot traffic.

Client:

BMF Media

Material:

Clear marley rollout flooring printed to 2nd surface

Solution:

BMF Media was tasked by FX to get printed flooring that matches the ballroom scenes in Pose. EAC delivered a vibrant printed rollout floor that appears to be lit by multicolored lights—an excellent studio for cutaway shots before commercial breaks.
